Aamir Khan’s Dangal which recently released in China and Taiwan, has been on a roll. The film has been making massive business overseas and has now even gone beyond Baahubali 2‘s worldwide collections.
Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2 took box office by storm when it grossed some big numbers. The film is currently in the range of around 1540 crores plus worldwide for all its versions and what is shocking is that, with the collections of China and Taiwan combined, the film has now grossed over 1585 crores which is huge. This makes Dangal the highest Indian worldwide grosser till date.
Dangal’s overseas total before releasing in China and Taiwan was: 202 crores – $30million
Dangal’s China collections: 810 crores – $124million
Dangal‘s Taiwan collections : 31 crores – $5million
Dangal starring Aamir Khan in lead, revolved around the story of an Indian wrestler and his hardships to train his daughters to become world-class wrestlers.
Superstar Aamir Khan says it’s unfair to compare his film Dangal with S.S. Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, both of which have crossed collections of Rs 1500 crore at the box office worldwide, as both of them have their own space.
“I am really happy that ‘Dangal‘ is getting appreciated in China and all over the world. I don’t think we should compare two films. ‘Baahubali 2‘ is a very successful film. I haven’t watched it yet but I am hearing a lot of good stuff about it from everyone around me. I would like to congratulate Rajamouli and his entire team,” Aamir said
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film also starred Fatima Sana Sheikh, Zaira Wasim and Sanya Malhotra in lead roles.
